Nutella Stuffed M&M Cookies

Nutella and pink M&Ms? Sounds like the perfect combination for your next Galentines party or treating your loved ones on Valentine’s Day! And, let’s be real… these are great any day of the year too.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 stick (230g) salted butter

  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 egg and 1 egg yolk, room temp

  • 1.5 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 3/4 cup AP flour

  • 3/4 tsp tsp baking soda

  • 1/2 cup Nutella spread

  • 1/2 cup mini M&Ms

Instructions

Prepare Nutella

  1. Add Nutella into piping bag or ziplock to pipe 12 equal sized dollops onto parchment paper. Put in the freezer until solid, about 2 hours.

Brown the butter

  1. Brown the butter on a stove top on medium low for 5-8min, stirring carefully until golden specs form at the bottom of your pan

  2. Transfer to a separate bowl and allow to cool for 5min

Make the Dough

  1. Add butter and sugars to a bowl and mix together (use a paddle attachment if using a kitchenaid)

  2. Add the egg, yolk, and vanilla into bowl, mix until silky and paler in color. Make sure to scrape down the sides of the bowl if needed

  3. In a separate bowl, mix dry ingredients

  4. Add dry ingredients to the wet and mix until all flour is incorporated

Form cookies

  1. Remove from fridge and scoop 12 portions into cup-shapes to make space for frozen nutella balls

  2. Make sure the cookie dough is fully covering the Nutella by pinching all edges together and reforming into a ball

  3. In a small bowl, pour in m&ms

  4. Dip the top of each cookie dough ball into m&ms and press so that chocolates stick to the surface of the dough

  5. Allow dough to chill in fridge for at least an hour (or up to 24hr)

Bake the Cookies

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F

  2. Add 3-4 cookies to a parchment lined baking sheet

  3. Bake for 12-14min

Enjoy!
